Exact time and position unknown. Nigerian Local media have reported that four
employees of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) had been kidnapped in Bayelsa
State. It was reported that the victims had been travelling on a passenger boat from
Amassomma to Ogoimbiri, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, when unknown
gunmen in a speedboat double-crossed the passenger boat and fired sporadically into
the air, forcing the four employees into their boat and taking them to an unknown
location.

A report states that two crew members on the forecastle of an anchored tanker
noticed a boat approaching at high speed. As the boat closed in on the tanker the crew
members noticed something being thrown towards the tanker. The boat moved away
and waited. After a while the two crew members noticed the boat slowly approach the
CW ALERT 0040-15 tanker again. The crew members noticed the persons in the boat set light to an object
and throw it towards the tanker, the lit object hit the ships rail and fell into the water, a
loud explosion was heard. The boat then left the area. The Nigerian navy and port
authority were informed, who then deployed a gun boat to the area. The tanker moved
to a secure anchorage.

It has been reported that whilst on duty, a crew member on board a berthed chemical
tanker spotted a robber attempting to board the vessel at 0320 LT in position Berth 5
and 6, ENL Jetty, Lagos Harbours, Nigeria. He alerted the on board security team who
chased the robbers away. After a while the robbers attempted to return and the
security team fired one warning shot resulting in the robbers aborting the approach.
